There is hope in the individual

There is no hope in a system, or in a blueprint of a planned

society. There is no hope in any religious organization,

but there is hope in the individual. There is hope

in you and in me.

A foot above the competition...

This is Matt Stutzman, The Armless Archer. He was born without arms but was blessed to have been raised by two incredible (and incredibly patient) parents who taught him long ago that impossible is a state of mind…and not one that he should chose to embrace.
It’s a lesson that has served him well, and one that he and his wife
are trying to pass on to their two young boys on a daily basis.

His goal is to be the best archer in the world. For a man without arms that may seem unlikely, but, indeed, where this is a will, there is a way and one thing he was definitely NOT born
without was a will. He has figured out how to do a lot of things in life without arms one
of which is shoot a bow. He's gotten pretty good at it and he is a proud member of the Para United States Archery Team. He just broke a world record with a
230 yard shot to the bulls-eye.

The next step in his quest to be world’s best is to stand on the medals
podium next summer at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.

Wall Street Protest

A Message to All Police Officers From Occupy Wall Street

Engineer explains the problem at Occupy Wall Street

Occupy Oakland: Riot police fire tear gas, flashbang grenades

Occupy Hawaii

So the rebellion has started, it's about time....About 85 people were arrested on Saturday...some 5 people were pepper-sprayed...one fellow (a law student) was arrested for kneeling in the street (I didn't know that was a crime) as he was protesting the bank taking his parents property and home, and a young lady was pepper-sprayed for asking an officer that was arresting a guy for no reason, "What are you doing that for?"

Good ol' Spikey and Beary

These are my two dogs. In 1997, Just after purchasing some awesome
property at the corner of the Etowah River and Lake Allatoona, I was
driving down a logging road to the property and noticed two black
something or others running across the road. I jumped out of my
truck and followed them through the woods. All of sudden I heard
the sound of a puppy crying and I got to her and she was trapped
behind a big log. I looked on ahead and there was the mother, just
running on through the woods. I helped the puppy over the log
and off she went chasing after her mom. That night I began to worry
how this wild dog probably had as many as six puppies and only
one was still alive. So I put out food and water and after several
weeks I was able to capture this little puppy and I called her beary
because, just catching them out of the corner of my eye,
I thought it may have been a little black bear
running across the road.

About a year later Beary had some puppies from another
wild dog and I kept one male and my stepson, Joey, named
him Spikey.
